Today, thousands of couples' lives were changed when the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of the freedom to marry, ending marriage discrimination throughout the country.
After the United States Supreme Court's ruling, 13 states' marriage bans were struck down. As counties announced that they were following the law of the land -- and the nation's highest court's hundreds of couples rushed to their local county clerks to, at long last, get married to their true love.
