Thomas Wheatley

Thomas Wheatley is the Campaign Director at Renew Oregon, the campaign for clean energy, good jobs and healthy communities in Oregon. Thomas has over 15 years of experience building successful policy, education and electoral campaigns across the country. As Director of Organizing for Freedom To Marry, he helped plan and win marriage equality campaigns in states from Washington to Wyoming, contributing to the rapid succession of marriage victories in nine western states. While at Basic Rights Oregon he led innovative advertising, research and field campaigns and helped win legislation protecting LGBT Oregonians. Previously Thomas served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) and worked in the labor movement supporting low-wage and immigrant workers in the Midwest and New York City. Thomas is graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego.
